After completing the first semester of school, freshman Addie Bryan reflected on her biggest struggle.
“Making it through freshman year and getting onto the basketball team,” Bryan said. “The competition I was against was hard; some people are better, and some people aren’t.”
Bryan participates in basketball practice nearly every day after school, and she also plays in JV home and away games.
“I’ve been playing since fourth grade, so about five years,” Bryan said. “I wanted to see if it had anything good for me to learn.”
Bryan plans on using her athletic skills in both basketball and volleyball for her future career. She uses her summers to participate in club sports to heighten her skills for future seasons.
“I want to become a professional athlete or an actress, I want to make my name known,” Bryan said.
While outside of school, Bryan enjoys spending free time with people who are special to her. She enjoys sleepovers, getting food, being with friends, family and her boyfriend.
“They were there for me when no one else was,” Bryan said.
Bryan works to maintain her grades while balancing activities, friends and academics.
“No matter what, don’t fall behind and try your hardest, study every single night,” Bryan said.
