After moving up a grade, sophomore Elijah Maier finds school to be more difficult.
“The homework I have been getting is over the top,” Maier said.
His freshman year, Maier made a decision he was pleased with.
“My biggest accomplishment is going out for wrestling freshman year,” Maier said. “The friendships I’ve made are so valuable.”
After a successful season, Maier decided to pursue other hobbies.
“I don’t think I’ll play again this year,” Maier said. “I might wrestle again next year if my schedule works out better.”
Maier attributes his ties to his newfound hobby to his dad.
“I just started photography,” Maier said. “My dad did it, and I wanted to try.”
Maier uses a certain philosophy to help him with his photography.
“Get motivated and try, and try, and just keep doing it,” Maier said.
Maier likes to keep a busy schedule, so he often squeezes in time for other hobbies.
“I’m mostly doing photography right now, but I like to play games when I’m done with homework,” Maier said.
Because his time to play is short, Maier focuses on quicker-passed games.
“I’m really into Clash Royale right now, but I used to play games like Fortnite,” Maier said.
