The team has a record of 5-6. They won regionals against Mulvane 35-20. In a game against McPherson, they won 50-29, a 13-point lead. The season came to a conclusion against Wamego Nov. 14, the score was 14-21

Ryanne Schmidt, Reporter
The soft clatter of keyboards echoes through the journalism lab, blending with the sound of ongoing conversations and the occasional burst of laughter. Within the room sits sophomore Ryanne Schmidt, her fingers positioned over the keys as she leans into her first assignment as a new reporter on staff.
“It looked fun,” Schmidt said. “I’ve always liked writing things and writing stories, so I thought I would join.”
Over the course of the school year, Schmidt has a goal to accomplish for newspaper
“There’s nothing really I’m thinking about accomplishing,” Schmidt said, “just writing all my stories and completing them by the deadline.”
Outside of newspaper, Schmidt manages the Oriole volleyball team and enjoys participating in anything art-related. She finds creative activities fulfilling.
“It’s just something that’s always interested me and it’s fun to do,” Schmidt said. “I like watching movies while doing it too, it gives me something to do.”
