My name is Hayden Blair. I joined the newspaper staff my sophomore year upon requesting to be in yearbook, being told I would be a better fit for newspaper. Boy was that right.
Going into high school, I still felt as I had in elementary and middle school. Left out and alone, but as fate would have it, I would actually begin my acting career in my freshman year, which would further put the yearbook on my radar, as I had been included in it for the aforementioned acting. This made me interested in the process and wish to join the yearbook staff. This got me put onto the newspaper staff my sophomore year, and it was one of the best things to ever happen to me.
For my future, I plan on going to Wichita State University for a major in either theater or music theater and a minor in journalism. I hope to be a part of a good many performances there, as well as possibly joining a choir.
I feel like throughout my high school career, I have left a good impression on most students or staff I have interacted with. Being in newspaper, broadcast, the plays and musicals and choir have helped me step out of my comfort zone, and build my confidence and character up. I hope to continue life by trying new things and continuing to go out and live it to its fullest.
This is Hayden Blair, signing off. Hope to catch you guys as a member of the Sunflower.
