Musician Joe Keery, known professionally as Djo, who also played the role of Steve Harrington in the Netflix series “Stranger Things”, is no stranger to making music. He made two albums so far in his career. His earliest album, “Twenty Twenty” was released in 2019. His second album “Decide”, released in 2022, contains the track “End of Beginning”. This song, as of the week of March 23 is ranked 21 on the Billboard Hot 100 list. This is because the song is trending on TikTok.

“Decide” is an album that makes me feel like I hopped on a time machine and traveled back to the late ‘70s. Djo modulates his vocals in a Freddy Mercury manner. This gives it a vintage feel that I love.

“Fool” is another song I love on this album. This song is all over the place and has a little bit of an uneasy feel to it but in an entertaining way. Djo uses his own voice as background instruments, it gives me joy, whether it be his screaming or his vocal bops.

My favorite song on this album is the aforementioned “End of Beginnings”. This song is a strong standout on this album for its slower tempo compared to the rest of the album’s uptempo songs. When I listen to this song, it is impossible for me to not vibe too.

If I could pick one word to describe this album, I would pick fun. All these songs are perfect for dancing or grooving with other people. Overall, I give this album a strong 8/10.
