Academic events extend beyond classroom

Math teacher Summer Huber’s 2B geometry class learns about congruent figures proof. They are learning how pentagons are congruent.

English teacher Megan Springs’ 4A comp II class works on the vocabulary cards. Their vocabulary are over the third set of words this year.

Science teacher Nathan Stevens 2A biology class takes notes. Their notes were over the pH scale.

Business teacher Kellee Roberts’ 1A game design class works on a game worksheet. They will be completing their game over the course of the school year.

Seniors finished up their senior project papers for the Comp 1 English class. The research paper was required to be eight pages long with other additives at the end.

AHS graduate Hillery Midkiff gives a speech to the senior AVID class over her overall life experience after Augusta High School. United States Agency for international development (USAID) is where Midkiff is currently employed.

The A day government classes poses in front of the Butler County Courthouse in El Dorado. The field trip day consisted of a visit to the El Dorado jail, as well as presentations from different departments of law enforcement.
